Drop the Decibel is a personal company built to provide individuals with access to information about noise-induced hearing loss and proper ear protection.
The goal of this company is to create informative designs targeting individuals who are at high-risk for hearing damage due to the activities they engage in. The aim is to show people they can still enjoy what they love, while also saving their hearing.
I tackled this task by creating designs that would resonate with individuals who are prone to ignoring medical advice. I focused on creating engaging imagery that would catch someone’s attention at events such as concerts, sporting events, or conventions. Drop the Decibel is a stand that is set up at different events that reach high volumes. The designs that I created for this include posters, an informational booklet, three levels of proper hearing protection, and an informational website. These designs are of high-contrast and highly stylized so that they immediately catch the eye of someone who may be at a music festival or a football game, and get individuals to the booth. By bringing this company to these events we can sell hearing protection to these individuals on sight and help them protect their ears while still doing what they love.
