The Art in Paris class in an upper-level art history course offered by UAFS, where students go to Paris for a week to study for a full week.
The client needed a unique guidebook for students to use throughout the semester and during their trip to Paris. The book had to be small enough to be easy accessible from a pocket or bag, while also being easy to navigate and serve as an educational implement that guided students through the course.
The solution I came up with for the book was a 5”x7” perfect-bound book. The 58-page book is divided into twelve sections that students can easily identify with the interior section title pages. This book utilizes a one-column layout and provides easily identifiable headers for each block of content. The overall color theme of this book follows the French flag. The cover is a dark blue with raised-polymer title art embossed on the front and back of the book in white ink. The interior uses red for section title-pages and headers.
